You can gain two pounds in just a couple of minutes by drinking 32 oz of water. Does that mean that you got fatter? Of course not.

To look lean and healthy like most people want, you must have a plan the forces your body to burn off fat while making sure you don’t burn off muscle. It is a bit of a balancing act and this doesn’t happen by accident. It is part of a successful plan that has been proven time and time again.

Working with Ben Janke was a very worthwhile experience. I worked with Ben at a local gym. When I first went into the gym to find out membership information I was screened by a front-end guy. He could see right away that I needed a trainer who was tough, but very compassionate and would help me build my confidence back up after some difficult life experiences. Ben was just the man.

Ben was very knowledgeable on what I needed to do and how I needed to do it. We talked a lot about working out—focusing on cardio, the importance of resistance training, flexibility and body composition. The positive numbers I got while working with Ben were very encouraging. Ben talked to me about nutrition and gave me great food ideas. He was also very encouraging about the dreaded tracking of calories. Ben never let me down and never let me manipulate the situation if the numbers didn’t play out like I wanted them to. He remained positive and helped me to face reality. Ben was instrumental in helping me to have a higher level of fitness as an adult and to have the confidence to join a run/walk group and completed my first 10k last summer.
