We get tons of email asking about specific foods, calories and diets related to better fitness and health. While I was researching for a future article, I ran across some nutrition information related to the fast food segment.
I found several interesting statistics related to french fries, calories and nutrition. All of the major food chains have varying degrees of calories, fat, salt, etc. I discovered that the majority of the fries are high in fat and sodium. Remember, that for every gram of fat listed in the nutrition guide, 9 calories/gram of fat is the conversion. Therefore, a 30 fat(gram) listing is the equivalent of 270 calories. The entire product may be listed as 620 calories. This is 43% fat!
The salt level is almost equivalent to a day’s worth of salt. One food, lots of fat, lots of salt equals nutrition problems. The simple solution - substitute the “fruit cup” or similar and watch your diet improve instantly.
We are not affiliated with any food chain. Curly fries are a trademark of Arby’s. All data is found in the public domain.
